Theron looked after the yaks during my trip to eastern Tibet in September. I am touched to read his attached account and what the place taught him and allowed him to experience, because I have always imagined and dreamed that this chalet, the mountains that surround it, and the yaks that live there could be a source of inspiration and transformation for others as well. Ria spent a week as an intern at La Giette. She is originally from Jamaica, but grew up in London and worked with cattle in Australia. On the return flight, she saw the ARTE documentary on cattle, which also featured my herd and me. Ria was fascinated by the yaks. She contacted me to ask if she could come for an internship.
